Rose

Roses are woody perennials from the genus Rosa in the rose family (Rosaceae). Their flower buds and petals can be used as a culinary herb, though not all species or cultivars are suitable for cooking. The most commonly used are Damask Rose (Rosa x damascena—shown below), Cabbage Rose (Rosa centifolia), and French Rose (Rosa gallica).
