Scallion

Scallions, or green onions, are the herbs derived from plants in the genus Allium within the Amaryllidaceae family, typically from species like Allium fistulosum (bunching/ spring onion) or immature Allium cepa (common onion). They have long, narrow, dark green leaves that are widely used as a culinary herb for their mild onion flavor.
