Pumpkin Seed

Pumpkin seed, or pepita, is the seed derived from the hull-less inner kernel of Cucurbita pepo and related pumpkin and squash species in the gourd family (Cucurbitaceae). It has a mild, nutty flavor that deepens when roasted, and is traditionally used in Mexican and Guatemalan cuisines.
