Priprioca

Priprioca is the spice produced from the rhizomes of Cyperus articulatus, a grass-like perennial sedge from Amazonian rivers and wetlands in the sedge family (Cyperaceae). From the Amazonian rivers and wetlands, priprioca is grated or ground for a floral, earthy, spicy aroma that is prized in Brazilian cooking and perfumery.
