Chile Flakes

Chile flakes, or chili flakes, are any single-variety chile pepper that’s been dried and crushed. Even though their names are often used interchangeably, they differ slightly from crushed red pepper as they tend to have more distinct flavor profiles (fruity, smoky, sweet, earthy, etc.) and often fewer seeds.
