African Nutmeg

African nutmeg is the spice produced from the seeds of Monodora myristica, a tall tropical tree in the custard apple family (Annonaceae). Native to the forests of tropical Africa from Sierra Leone to Tanzania, its large fruit holds many fragrant seeds with a warm, nutty, peppery flavor.
