Tree Onion

Tree onion is a hybrid of the common onion (A. cepa) with the Welsh onion (A. fistulosum). Where a common onion has flowers, the tree onion has a cluster of miniature bulblets. Young plants can be used similarly to scallions in the spring, and the bulblets can used similarly to common onions.
