Pink Peppercorns

Pink peppercorns are not true peppercorns from the pepper family (Piperaceae), but rather the dried fruit of Schinus molle, an evergreen tree in the cashew family (Anacardiaceae). They share a similar size and mild peppery flavor, which is why they were given a similar name.
