Fort Belgica

Fort Belgica was a massive Dutch stronghold built on a strategic hill on the island of Banda Neira in the southern Maluku Islands. It was both a military fortress and a symbol of colonial dominance as the Dutch sought to maintain their monopoly over the global trade of nutmeg and mace.
